Who's Who in American Comedy

Bill Cosby

Started as a stand-up working the comedy clubs and landed a role in the 1960s TV show I Spy. This was followed by his own series, The Bill Cosby Show, in the late 1960s. He also was on The Electric Company (a PBS Kids show) and produced the Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids cartoon show. In addition he acted in films and in the 1980s, produced and starred in a groundbreaking sitcom, The Cosby Show, which depicted upper middle-class African Americans.
