Bill Hicks

Acerbic, insightful comedian who reached some fame in the U.S. in the 1980's and '90's (appearing on the Letterman show 11 times; his 12th performance was censored) though he was more popular in England. His routines were cutting edge, often touching on sex, religion and politics. He died of pancreatice Cancer in 1994 at the age of 33. In the clip below he talks about Christanity. (The story about the 'Rednecks' accosting him after the show is true; what he doesn't mention is that they one broke of his legs and cracked one of his ribs.
