Drew Carey

Carey began his career in 1985 writing jokes for his friend's radio show in Cleveland. After winning an open-microphone contestat the Cleveland Comedy Club, he began playing other comedy venues and appeared on Star Search which got him a stint on the Tonight Show which eventally led to his sit-com which ran for nine years. He then adapted te British improv comedy quasi-game show Whose Line is it Anyway? for American TV. He subsequently began hosting real game shows like The Power of Ten which led to his replacing Bob Barker on The Price is Right.
