Candy, who was more of a comic actor than a comedian, began as a member of the Toronto, Canada, Second City troupe, was a cast member of SCTV, and moved into film roles including The Blues Brothers, Stripes, National Lampoon's Vacation, Splash, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Brewster's Millions, and Uncle Buck. He was half of the parody duo the Shmenge Brothers (the Happy Wanderers) along with Eugene Levi. He died of a heart attack in 1994. Here he is profiled by E's True Hollywood Story.
