Larry Gelbhart

A writer for Danny Thomas, Jack Paar, Bob Hope and other comedians who worked with Neil Simon, Mel Brooks, Woody Allen and Carl Reiner on on Caesar's Hour, the follow-up to Your Show of Shows. He also wrote for Broadway (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum) and wrote screenplays, including Oh, God! and Blame It on Rio. He co-wrote the screenplay for Tootsie and was the main writer for the television series M*A*S*H (adapted from the Robert Altman film of the same name.)
